The National Center for Wellness and Recovery (NCWR) team recently attended Momentum: Prevention, Justice, Recovery, hosted by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. As both sponsors and participants, the NCWR team met with other leaders focused on learning the best ways to help families and individuals dealing with substance use disorder and addiction.
The event included break out sessions, keynote speakers and informational booths about mental health services available across Oklahoma. It was a great place to exchange ideas and strategies aimed at improving mental health, preventing and treating substance use disorder and more. The conference brought together local, state and national leaders creating an inclusive environment for meaningful discussions.
“Engaging with passionate professionals and thought leaders at the Momentum conference has been inspiring,” said Ann Kraft, head of strategic partnership at NCWR. “I am committed to driving impactful change in the substance use disorder and mental health fields through strategic partnerships, and I look forward to further contributing to our collective mission.”
During the three-day conference, more than 40 sessions addressed a variety of topics and provided a unique opportunity to engage with experts while gaining insights that can be applied in the field.
